I could swear I posted something similar to this about a month ago on the Obidala LJ page but I can't find it. Maybe I should just post it here. Anyway, this is another reminder for the Obidala Valentine Online Convention which is taking place over the weekend of February 11th/12th on our OVOC board. I'm gonna post a little reminder from one of our head mods Rosalie (NoobianRose):

This message is just to remind you all, once again, that we are in increasingly dire need of vid, fic, and art submissions. The con won't be what it usually is without new fan creations to celebrate the pairing. So if you have the chance (you still have about a month and a half) and you'd like to participate, please check out the "OVOC 2012 Prep and Discussion Board" for information about submission guidelines and deadlines. I'm the vid mod this year, and as of right now I'll be accepting submissions and the deadline for those is Wednesday 8th February in time for the OVOC which is on February 11th/12th.

1. All work must be Obidala related.
2. All work must be original and new for the convention.
3. All work must not posted anywhere until after the convention is over.
4. Please send me your submissions via a file sharing site like mediafire, megaupload, rapidshare, sendspace, 4shared...

I'm bored xD So before I go to bed, I thought I'd post these. Several vids I've made: a Perseus/Io vid, 2 Perseus/Io collab parts, 2 crossover collab parts (Lincoln/Arwen and Anakin/Briseis) and an Anakin/Dorme vid.

Okay so a while back, all of us at the Obidala Fan Forum organised tributes to the wonderful Liz Kenobi aka amidala_thrace includings art, fics and vids and Isabel (SweetLadyBat) thought it would be a good idea to participate in a collab in her honour so a few of us got together and we decided on this song, My Love by Sia, which is my favourite song ever, it's just so perfect. We vidded crossover Ewan McGregor/Natalie Portman pairings because it would be too difficult to vid a whole Obidala collab but two of us vidded Obidala. All the vidders and their couples are featured in the intro and all the fandoms are at the end.

I finished one of these last night and I think it came out okay but I'm REALLY happy with the first one and I don't think I've uploaded it here before. So both are Obidala style and the first is the trailer for The Mask Of Zorro which is one of my favourite movies ever and the second is of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt 1 which I'm so excited to see!!!

02. How do you style your hair?
Well since my mum chopped all my hair off(!)... most of it anyway, I don't really have to do anything to it. I either comb it to the side so I have a bit of a fringe or I comb it back.

03. What are you wearing now?
Yellow summer dress, slacks and sandals.

04. What's your occupation?
Er, nothing yet...

05. Last place you visited?
My grandma's house.

06. What's your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
I don't know... maybe McDonald's toffee sundae. I love it but I usually get sick later *rolls eyes*

07. What's the last movie you watched?
Clash Of The Titans (2010)... mmmm, Sam Worthington *swoons*

09. Dog person or cat person?
Dog person because I have the cutest little doggie in the world, my wee Sparky *huggles* and I grew up around lots of dogs.

For You Only (More Than This version) by Trading Yesterday. Because it's so epic! And the love theme from Romeo And Juliet by André Rieu. It's so pretty <3

11. What was the last thing you bought?
I don't know... I guess whatever my mum bought this morning because I gave her all my money.

12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I can't pick, it's between Italy, Greece and New Zealand.

13. Where do you see yourself in 5 minutes?
Still at the computer

14. Last book you read?
Angels & Demons I guess.

15. What are you doing this weekend?
Will probably sleep in on Saturday as usual then try to finish ripping my Clone Wars clips, then get started on my vid for the memorial tribute for Liz at the OFF. Then go to church on Sunday and spend the day at Grandma's.

16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
I used to play a bit of violin but I'd like to play the guitar or piano.

17. How are you?
I'm good, but sometimes I feel like I'm slowly going mad!

18. What are you doing tomorrow?
I'll be spending the day with my grandma while waiting for my brothers because they have target setting with their teachers.

19. What are you looking forward to the most?
Clone Wars Season 4! And Season 3 coming out on dvd. And finally getting Terminator Salvation, Avatar and Clash Of The Titans on dvd so I can vid Sam <3 and more external harddrives to store all the bloody clips.

 Yesterday was my 18th birthday! Yay! Combined with Christmas, I got the POTC trilogy box set so I'll be able to start vidding Sparrabeth (Jack/Lizzy) and Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse 2 disc dvds so I can start vidding Bellisle (Bella/Carlisle). :) Yeah, have I mentioned that I have a new crush? I've totally fallen head over heels for Peter Facinelli. *sigh* So pretty ^_^ And I've also got Clone Wars Season 1 on dvd. So I can make CW vids :) Now I need season 2 and the Twilight 2 disc dvd. Anyway, now for the vids. I made these for two Unbound Creations MEPs: Angsty Male Characters to 'Away From The Sun' by 3 Doors Down and I vidded the Camerlengo from Angels & Demons and Éomer from LOTR, and Angsty Crossover Couples to 'Never Alone' by Barlow Girl and I vidded Obi-Wan/Arwen and Éomer/Padmé.









Then I made this for my friend MajaAngel9's Couples collab to 'Glorious' by Andreas Johnson and I vidded Éowyn/Faramir cos they're so cute :)



I made these two for the OFF's recent vid challenge '60's music'. I chose 'Son of a Preacher Man' by Dusty Springfield which won 1st Place (!) and 'Unchained Melody' by The Righteous Brothers, which was inspired by Ticklesivory's Obidala fic 'Always' which is based on 'Ghost'.





I made this for my friend LadyC189's 'Dark Deeds' collab to 'Numb' by Marina and the Diamonds and I chose Anakin from SW.



This is my Christmas video which is Obidala obviously ;D to 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' by Lady Antebellum.



I've made these for PhantomGirlCollab's Tragic Couples collab to 'While Your Lips Are Still Red' by Nightwish and I vidded Obi-Wan/Padmé and Éomer/Arwen.





Somehow I've managed to join this really incredible collab group called TheSagaBegins and these are the parts I've done so far for it. Our New Year's collab to 'Firework' by Katy Perry and I vidded Aragorn/Arwen. And now our new collab which is slash/femslash to 'Flowers For A Ghost' by Thriving Ivory and I vidded Arwen/Éowyn. This is the first time I've ever vidded slash and I'm really proud of it. It came out really well and I think I might the whole song.





Man I've been busy! And I'm still making vids for the upcoming OVOC. Okay, bye now.

It's been way too long since I've updated my LJ. Anyway, I've got some work to take care off. I'm just putting this up so that any Obidala fans will see this. The annual Obidala Valentine Online Convention (OVOC) ovoc.proboards.com/index.cgi is on 12-13 Feb and I'm the moderator for the vids. :) So far I only have two videos in, but they don't count because I made them. I desperately need vids in for the celebration. And the other mods need artwork and fics in too. You'll find their posts at the Obidala Fan Forum. If you think about it, the OVOC is in a little over a month's time, I think a month and a week. So we don't have much time left.   Okay, I've literally just copied the post I made at the Obidala Fan Forum.

These are my rules/guidelines/requirements for the vids:

Deadline: = NOW - Thurs 10 Feb
I'd like for the vids to come in as early as possible, so if I get them between this time, it should give me enough time to upload them to Vimeo. Also, please upload your vids somewhere where I can download them - mediafire, megaupload, rapidshare, sendspace, 4shared... If anyone is stuck on how to do anything, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm right here. Oh and please don't put them up anywhere else like YouTube before the OVOC because no one can see them till then okay. Afterwards you can do that. :)

The vids MUST be Obidala! But I'm also allowing you guys to pair up Ewan/Natalie because no one's ever done that before and it would be very cool to see. And let's face it, there would be no Obidala without them. Plus, I've seen Nayden vids (Natalie/Hayden) and other stuff like Robsten (Robert Pattinsen/Kristen Stewart), so why shouldn't there be EwanNat vids?

You'll obviously be using SW clips (and pics as well if you want) and you can also use clips of Ewan and Nat from other movies and things too. Also I really would love to see a Clone Wars Obidala vid because there are absolutely none of those. So if any of you vid CW that would be really cool to see.

Now since all of this is for the OVOC, I would like to see some really beautiful, romantic vids, but if anyone is uninspired by that, you can use whatever genre you want! Happy, sad, angsty... whatever floats your boat. You can use any kind of music even instrumental pieces. Another idea is that you could use a music video in your vid, for instance, 'I See You' by Leona Lewis. You could edit out the Avatar clips and put Obidala ones instead. Okamiobidala made a great one to 'Undisclosed Desires' by Muse. You can check it out and see if the idea works for you.



You can also do movie trailers but Obidala style! Either the trilogy or other movies that you might like to use. Kicho14 made Obidala trailers for Moulin Rouge and Romeo & Juliet.





You can also do trailers to fics that you or anyone else may have written.



It would be awesome if you guys could start as soon as possible on these because I know for a fact that it can take a while for inspiration to come and making the actual vid takes some time too. You all are very welcome to post any playlists that you might have.

Ooh, another idea is that you could vid love triangles that involve our gorgeous otp, like Anakin/Padmé/Obi-Wan, Padmé/Obi-Wan/Satine, Padmé/Obi-Wan/Siri, Padmé/Obi-Wan/Sabé... I could go on (!) Obviously O/P will win in those. ;D

Okay well I really can't wait for February to come! This is all gonna be so awesome and I'm so looking forward to the gorgeous vids that you all will come up with.
